By definition, yoga is a group of ancient contemplative practices originating in India, and when practiced regularly can produce benefits such as increased flexibility and balance, tone and strength of muscles and an increased sense of peace and equanimity.

Here, at Positive Change, we stand by the practice of yoga and its power to change lives through intention and compassion. Our classes present the physical practice of asanas (yoga postures) or Hatha yoga and the specific healing properties of each pose, as well as theories of alignment in postures. We also emphasize the importance of meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises) as opportunities for further insight to oneself.
